About our Panelists
Rosemary Smith– Human Resources Director, Durand Inc.
Rosemary JM Gonnelli-Smith has over 20 plus years of Human Resources and Business experience. She has a strong track record of accomplishments in manufacturing, retailing, and healthcare environments, and has also successfully worked in the food, consumer products, and professional services industries. Her expertise lies not only in traditional fields of HR but also in the broader business areas of strategic development, mergers & acquisitions, and budget administration. Because of Rosemary’s energetic efforts in these areas, she saved her employers sizeable amounts of revenues, and increased both the efficiency and overall operations of her employing companies. Rosemary is currently employed by a local non-profit organization, Durand Inc., which serves individuals in the south jersey area with developmental disabilities and autism. For many years at Durand, Rosemary has served in the role of “HR Department of One” which has provided her the opportunity to work in all areas of HR including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations.
Rosemary is a member of local SHRM organizations and sits on the board for the Alice Paul Institute in Mount Laurel, NJ. She has frequently lectured in the fields of human resources and labor and employment law. Rosemary has her MBA in Finance and her BS/Minor in Spanish from Villanova/Widener Universities.
David Donald– Co-Founder, PeopleShare
In 2005 David founded PeopleShare. Since that time PeopleShare has grown to become the largest public or privately held staffing company in the Pennsylvania and one of the top 100 largest staffing companies in the country. PeopleShare specializes in temp, temp-to-hire, and direct hire staffing in the clerical, light industrial, and financial staffing.
Appointed by Mayor Nutter, David has served since 2008 on the board of Philadelphia Works and on the Advisory Board to Temple’s Graduate Fox Business School since 2009.
Prior to starting PeopleShare, David founded Keystone Staffing a temporary service company providing clerical, accounting and light industrial employees to businesses in Southeastern Pennsylvania. David sold Keystone to a publicly traded, $2 billion staffing company based in Orange, CA. With a limited presence on the east coast the company made its first ever acquisition in Keystone to springboard its position in the market. As the East Coast Regional Manager for the new company, David led his region from $5 million in revenue to $53 million over the following 4 years opening 10 offices in major markets.
Tyler Ridgeway– Director, Human Capital Resources, Kreischer Miller
Tyler is the director of Kreischer Miller’s Human Capital Resources group, which is frequently recognized as a leading retained search firm for companies in the Greater Philadelphia region. The group completes approximately 60 retained searches each year, helping businesses recruit and retain talented executives. Functional lines include executive roles such as: CEO, CFO, COO, Controller, VP of Operations, VP of Marketing, VP of Product Development, Human Resources Director, Board of Directors Chair and Member, and Director of Supply Chain. The group has been named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s list of Retained Executive Search Firms for the past six years. Tyler is also the co-chair of Kreischer Miller’s CFO Institute, a seminar series covering key topics of interest and trends for CFO’s.
Tyler joined Kreischer Miller in 2001. Prior to working for Kreischer Miller, Tyler was an associate attorney with a local law firm specializing in business law, litigation, estate planning, and tax, with a concentration in sports management. Tyler participated in salary and contract negotiations for high profile NFL players and facilitated sponsorship agreements with major corporate entities, such as Disney and ESPN.
