IRS Releases 2019 Calendar Year HSA Contribution Limits and HDHP Deductible Minimums and Out-of-Pocket Maximums

The IRS has released the maximum contribution limits for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) minimum deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums for the 2019 Calendar Year.  For your convenience, we’ve provided a summary below. Health Savings Account contribution limit for individual coverage: $3,500 (increased $50)

Health Savings Account contribution limit for family coverage: $7,000 (increased $100)

Catch-up has not increased and remains at $1,000 as it is fixed by law and not adjusted for inflation.

High Deductible Health Plan minimum deductible single: $1,350 (remained the same)

High Deductible Health Plan minimum deductible family: $2,700 (remained the same)

High Deductible Health Plan Out-of-Pocket Maximum single: $6,750 (increased $100)

High Deductible Health Plan Out-of-Pocket Maximum family: $13,500 (increased $200)
