Last Thursday, Innovative’s Wellness Coach, Lori Drouin, and Employee Benefits Consultant, Ryan Kastner, headed to the Occupational Training Center of Burlington County to present the educational wellness program “Health Eating on a Budget” to the Occupational Training Center staff. Lori walked OTC employees through a variety of ways to make healthy food choices, make smarter food choices by planning ahead, and choose nutrient dense foods all while adhering to a budget. The presentation also included a cooking demonstration which was thoroughly enjoyed by the OTC staff. “Healthy Eating on a Budget” is one of many educational programs offered to employees of Innovative Workplace Wellness clients throughout the year.
The Occupational Training Center of Burlington County, established in 1964, aims to assist adults living with disabilities to reach their highest potential through vocational training, evaluations and gainful employment. . The OTC began with a group of 8 and has grown to aid over 700 individuals annually thanks, in large part, to their long-term, community-based service contracts.
