We did not let the snow get in our way in February! The month started off with Mark Sulpizio, Innovative Investment Fiduciaries, LLC Principal, guiding attendees through the Retirement Fee Disclosure Regulations that went into effect in 2012 at a fantastic Seminar Lunch Event at McCormick & Schmick’s in Cherry Hill. Mark asked attendees if they knew what steps they should be taking to ensure that their retirement plan fees are reasonable? If you were unable to make it to this educational seminar but are interested in learning more, please Contact Us!
A couple of weeks later, on February 22, 2014, the Innovative team attended the Annual Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Gala where our Principal, Terriann Procida, received the Samaritan Circle of Excellence Award. This was awarded to Terriann for her outstanding leadership and dedicated volunteer service to promoting comfort, dignity and support for those in the community. As the Chairperson for the event the previous three years, Terriann was honored to accept the award. The Gala was a great success both in terms of fundraising and enjoyment!
Finally, we ended the month with a sold-out seminar at McCormick & Schmick’s in Cherry Hill on February 28, 2014 that focused on what Employers should be doing now to prepare for Health Care Reform. Ryan Kastner, Employee Benefits Consultant, introduced us to everyone and walked through the regulations that are currently in effect, as well as reviewing some that have recently been clarified. Then, Terriann Procida, Principal of Innovative Benefit Planning, presented an overview of the Employer Mandate (Play or Pay) and what it could mean for your company, and your employees. Dan Foley, Employee Benefits Consultant, concluded the presentation by demonstrating what Employers should be doing now in light of the most recent clarifications within PPACA. If you were unable to attend this presentation but would like information on Health Care Reform, please Contact Us and we would be happy to help!
